People assume that I have always been healthy & fit. They assume that I have played sports from an early age or that I have been naturally lean. This is NOT the case. 10 years ago I was
- Unhappily overweight
- Comfort eating
- Put myself down constantly
- Told myself I’d never be able to change
I would try my hardest to exercise but nothing stuck. I’d join gyms then quit some months later. I simply didn’t have the knowledge, skill or know how to achieve my goals.
My life changed when I finally realised I couldn’t do it alone. I was spending £100s a month on takeaways, booze, coffees and greggs. I knew if I swapped some money from these habits, I’d have some left over to invest in my coach.
And I’m so glad I did. My life has never been the same.
The truth is, it’s hard to be healthy when the easier option is so much more inviting. It’s hard to get up early and exercise before work, it’s hard to get off the couch and make a healthy dinner instead of ordering a takeaway, it’s hard to believe in yourself.
That’s why you need someone to back you up. To bring you up when you’re down and to tell you to keep going. To keep pushing. Until it isn’t hard anymore. Until you have created a lifestyle. Until you wake up in the morning and you WANT to do it.
